MATTHEW P. WITTER, LEAD ADVISOR/INVESTMENT SPECIALIST, SFG WEALTH PLANNING SERVICES, INC. has earned the Chartered Financial Consultant© (ChFC©) professional designation from The American College of Financial Services, Bryn Mawr, PA.

Candidates for the ChFC© designation must complete a minimum of nine courses and 18 hours of supervised examinations.  They must also fulfill stringent experience and ethics requirements.  Over 50,000 individuals have been awarded the ChFC© designation since its inception in 1982 and the credential is widely regarded as the highest standard of knowledge and trust for financial planning professionals.

The ChFC© program prepares professionals to meet the advanced financial needs of individuals, families and small-business owners.  ChFCs can identify and establish specific goals and then formulate, implement and monitor a comprehensive plan to achieve those goals.  Individuals who earn a ChFC© can provide expert advice on a broad range of financial topics including financial planning, wealth accumulation and estate planning, income taxation, life and health insurance, business taxation and planning, investments and retirement planning.

Matt is responsible for developing financial plans for executive clients, along with providing lead advice to the firm’s Executive Planning Services and Financial Independence Planning Services clients.  He is also co-chair of the investment committee, where he ensures the firm’s philosophy, approach and methodology.  Previously, Matt served as a senior advisor to high net worth individuals.  Matt holds his Series 65 license and is an investment advisor representative of SFG Investment Advisors, Inc.  He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) licensee and has also earned the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designations.  His community activities include Treasurer and Board Member of a local nonprofit organization, as well as coaching youth soccer.  Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, as well as their dog, Leo.
